Class Description

In this class students will be responsible for producing the 2025-2026 yearbook, which will record EMMA’s community, memories and events. Students will learn the basic principles of yearbook production and develop skills that include creating and organizing content, digital photography, conducting interviews, page design, content writing, editing and teamwork. In the spring students might need access to a laptop or tablet for designing during class. We will be using Canva to create our layouts. 


Expectations: 

➔ Take initiative without being told every step 

➔ Meet deadlines consistently 

➔ Contribute to school events and coverage (Every student is required to help photograph Arts & Sciences Night) 

➔ Work collaboratively in a production environment 

➔ Take ownership of assigned pages and projects 

➔ Must be comfortable talking to students and mentors 

➔ If a student is signed up for study hall there may be times when they will need to help with portrait day and/or use that time to take class photos or work on the yearbook.

Equipment required : Digital camera, preferably a DLSR


*Materials fee for layout prints, handouts, etc
