Class Description

ASL 3 will follow a similar format as ASL 1 and 2, with some differences that I hope will challenge the students in an enjoyable way. We will be working through a curriculum called Start American Sign Language. I find it to be very comprehensive, but still doable. I also am going to have a big focus this year on *using* their ASL skills every single week - we will have at least 5 minutes of silent conversation during each class period! There will be small amounts of homework, quizzes, exams, and research projects each semester. All in all, it is my goal that when these students leave ASL 3, they will be able to confidently converse with the deaf community. I know they can do it! Your students do not need any supplies for class. I will supply anything they need.


(NOTE: ASL 3 will be totally different than Advanced ASL from 2023-2024, so any Advanced students that want to continue are welcome! This class will be perfect for them.)
