Class Description
This class combines programming and hands on robotics to give students the opportunity to learn programming skills and apply those skills to actual robotic hardware. Students begin with the VEX IQ robot platform.
Students will learn programming skills using a VEX IQ Curriculum designed to teach core computer programming logic and reasoning skills using a robotics engineering context. Students apply those skills as they build, program and operate VEX IQ
robots.
Using VEX IQ robot kits, students will follow instructions to build robots used for program training. VEX IQ is a snap-together robotics system designed to offer young students a rich and exciting introduction to the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). The system encourages teamwork, problem solving, and leadership.
