EMMA

This class will cover a wide range of technology topics including computers, networking, robotics, basic electronics, programming, motors and controls, AC and DC Electricity, programmable logic controllers, and digital vs analog. Of course there will be plenty of programming to go with each.

Students will learn about advanced manufacturing involving industrial computers (Programmable Logic Controllers “PLC”), motors, motor controls, and microcontrollers. We will cover the fundamentals of AC and DC electricity, digital electronics, and microcontroller programming. Students will control motors with computer controlled power electronics. The Programmable Logic Controller will be connected and programmed to accept digital inputs, make program decisions, and control output devices such as lights, relays, and simple motor controls.
