Class Description
Students will continue building on concepts introduced in the previous year’s Beginner Guitar class and will perform various musical articulations and understand basic music symbols and how to successfully interpret them when applying them to their weekly song assignments and as a group during class. Students will bring their own instrument, accessories and textbook with them to class every week and will have weekly playing tests from a specific song from their text that they must independently prepare through regular practice and perform in front of their peers each week.
Students will prepare Christmas music beginning in early October to participate in a community service project where they will perform as a group at two area rest homes for residents in December.
