Come learn about music from around the world! From learning the “Heel N Toe Polka” while studying Australia, to playing drum beats from various African countries, to making their own pan flute on an excursion to Peru, students will be exposed to music from a wide variety of countries and cultures around the world. Students will compile a notebook to document their travels, but the majority of each class will be spent singing, playing instruments, playing musical games, dancing and listening to music from around the world. Along the way, we will lay the groundwork for reading and writing music notation. Come travel the world of music with us!
