This course teaches students the basics of how to analyze a piece of literature. Students learn how to discuss the plot, characters, setting, and action of a piece of literature so that when they enter late middle school and early high school, they are familiar with the process. This is done through a creative way of involving students as they take turns being vocabulary detectives, character coordinators, discussion leaders, etc.
